How to develop a flow chart - SOCIAL SCIENCE

The flow chart is used to explain any event or process or the life of any personality. Lines, shapes, and symbols can be used to make a flow chart.  but flow charts, mind maps, and concept maps are very creative tools and their structure may differ from person to person. their type may be countless and they also differ from subject to subject. a simple approach is What, Where, When, Who, and Why,

here I  am making a flow chart for learning the process and types of flow charts - for class viii (history ) -

This flow chart is based on the topic given within chapters- students can add details according to their understanding -  so it is Topic-based, this type of flow chart can be made during the first reading or after the first reading.
other  flow charts can be made with a deeper understanding of the same chapter- by giving it a different heading  (Understanding based)

Headings -         History and dates                Period of history                             Source of history
Subheadings   Which dates are important    1 Hindu/Muslim/British                 Literary/Archaeological
Wich events are important   2 ancient /medieval/modern         British sources of  history
                                                                         3. Colonial

Students can also make Concept-based flow charts -
                        History                                  Periods                                               Sources
                                                                                                                             Importance of sources
History of events                      Why/What - periodization                           How to use sources
History of process                    What should be the base                              Biasness of sources
Process- Nationalism                 British superiority                            British v/s Indian source
                         Socialism                     (European Division)

Students should read the entire chapter for a more detailed flow chart if they want to follow or copy the available flow chart, it must be decided after the first reading of the chapter.

for  the same chapter, a personality-based flow chart also can be made

James Rannel                                   James mill                                              Warren Hasting
the first map of India               Periodization of Indian history             First Governor-General of India
Why he created maps              problems with his period'                     British historians's preference
                                                                                                               their dates and other dates

these flow charts can be developed according to personal understanding.
